Being a mum to a daughter means many things of which one is
to be able to dress up in matching outfits and even accessories. There’s
something fun yet deeply gratifying to be able to don on identical items with
the kiddo. :p
(Matching outfits and even hats!)
I started off with mum and kiddo matching clothes but
evolved as she grew older to something more subtle such as matching hats, shoes
and accessories.
I have been shopping at Adeline’s Loft for
bespoke lifestyle jewelry for years. From earrings to necklaces, Adeline does
them all. The process is straight forward and painless. I find that I am
usually inspired by some of her creations online and will then approach
her thereafter to work on my pieces based on the changes to the beads / stones
and colours that I want.
One thing that impresses me is that Adeline is really
creative with the pieces she designs – you can certainly see this from the
varied necklaces and styles from some of my previous orders!
I then became “hooked” onto matching accessories:
(Pearl necklace for me and pearl bracelet for her)
(Matching long necklaces – darker tone for me while the kiddo gets something sweet and light)
And here’s my latest mummy-daughter matching set! Isn’t this
absolutely gorgeous? With Christmas just around the corner, this adds such
a festive cheer and will be perfect for our Christmas party!
For this Christmas period, I am pleased to share that

It would certainly be that beauty is more than skin deep, and her self-worth and identity is found in God's being her Creator and God's purpose for her life.

ReplyDeleteI would like to instill faithfulness in my girl. She tends to give up halfway when things get tough but I want her to be determined and never give up!
ReplyDeleteThere are many values I'll like to instil but one of them is the value of self-love and confidence. This is especially so after I heard her tell me that she's been told she looks different and unattractive due to her skin colour. I'll like her to know for sure that God made her beautiful and exactly the way she should be and she just needs to love herself and be confident of herself, and her self-worth should not rest on men's words but in God's love for her.
ReplyDeleteIf I can only pick just one virtue among all virtues to instill in my baby girl, it'll be dignity.
ReplyDeleteI want her to be able to hold court with the utmost confidence, conduct herself with grace and be kind to all whom she met. But most of all, I want her to know how to love and respect herself such that when she's placed in a compromising situation, she will be able to pull herself out of it.
It will be self-love (自爱) - the belief that she is a valuable and worthy person. She will have a positive view of herself and confident in herself.

I would like to instil integrity because the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles is very important in family values.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's honesty and having integrity in whatever she does.
ReplyDeleteI believe it would b love. Love for self, family and others
ReplyDeleteThere are many positive value which I want to instill. One of which is Thriftiness.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to just pick one value, it would be having a sense of responsibility, not just for doing what she needs to do but also to be responsible with her words and actions that they are never spoken or act out to hurt someone especially when done in anger.
ReplyDeleteThe value of respect. Respect is earned, not to be expected of others. By instilling this value, she can be someone with a good personality.

Definitely KINDNESS.. My ahma taught me since young, if you are kind everything will be right! There are good and bad people in this world, but remember to spread kindness and make this world a better place.. This same value I taught my daughter since young.. I wish she can remember and pass on this virtue to her kids.. Being kind, brings joy and laughter.. May we all bring joy and positive tots to all around!
ReplyDeleteRespect. Extremely important when dealing with people.
